The Farm, Forest and Wilderness are NOT Childproof! There
are cleaning products, insecticides, and medicines under the sinks, in the
barns and outbuildings. There are barbwire fences, equipment, and many other
hazards outside. The hayloft has open windows and an open stairwell. There
are poisonous snakes, poison ivy, rocks, falls, creeks and a pond, and
thousands of acres in which to be lost. BEARS Bite! Please watch, warn,
and teach the children well!

Wear Life Jackets to Swim in the Pond. Absolutely no
Diving! Use Life Jackets with the Row Boat or Canoe.

Watch out for the Copperhead and Rattle Snakes. Both will
generally leave you alone, but both will bite. There is a Snake Bite Kit by
the First Aid Kit in the kitchen.

Riders: Beware and be very careful. Mountainous Terrain,
Rocks, and Forests present special hazards and inherent risks to both horses
and riders. Ride at your own risk. English, dressage, hunter, and jumping
saddles and tack are highly dangerous in this terrain. Always use saddle breastplates.

Preserve the Wilderness in the National Forest. The Farm
borders on your lands, our lands, the United States National Forest. The cove
has been designated in a 150 year use plan for large mammal habitat. The
south ridge is dedicated Wilderness. Please cut no tree, disturb no living
thing, leave no trash, and walk softly upon this land. There is very
little wilderness and it must last forever.

Absolutely No Animals in the House! Dog, cats,
horses, cows, chickens and pigs are all welcome at the Farm, and in the Red
Barn, but please keep them OUTSIDE ONLY! No exceptions please.

Please NO SMOKING in the House or Barns.

Garbage: Please bag your garbage for pick-up. Please
pack-out any trash in the Forests and Wilderness.

Light switches: The house is very old, so some of the
light switches are not where they belong, so please be patient. The pond
light is outside, on the corner of the house, by the front steps. The switch
for the corner floodlights is in the bedrooms, by the doors. The bath light
switches are the little white toggle switches on the walls.

Please feel free to help yourself to any of the toys,
food, staples and supplies, but please pay for anything you loose or use.

The undersigned rent horses and tact for the purposes of our pleasure
riding. We agree to pay at the rates quoted, to follow safe riding
procedures, to care for the horses, to carefully inspect the horses, horse
shoes, tack, bridles, saddles, and breastplates before and after every ride,
agree not to cantor or gallop, agree to stay on the trails, and understand
that we Ride at Our Own Risk.

Rider or other participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent

dressage, hunter, and jumping saddles and tack are highly dangerous in this
terrain. Always use saddle breastplates. Beware of barbed wire, rocks,
hills, branches, holes, ivy, snakes, bears, wildlife and other hazards. Always
wear helmets.
