| Lake Chatuge is a beautiful alpine lake, 1925 feet above sea
level, at the highest reaches of the Tennessee Valley watershed. Located
about 3 miles from the farm, the Lake is formed by a earthen dam across the
Hiwassee River, covers 7,200 acres, and has 130 miles of shoreline, half of
which is owned by the TVA and the U. S. Forest Service. Great for fishing,
swimming, touring, and water sports. |
