1.	Boating, fishing, water skiing, and fooling around on Lake Chatuge. There are several nearby marinas with boat launches, and rental boats. Lake Chatuge is a large lake, with very clean, clear water, nestled into the mountains.
2.	White Water River Rafting on the Nantahala River. This is about an hour away from the farm, and is a spectacular day trip.
3.	Antique, craft and junk shops litter the roadway, in virtually every direction, providing endless hours of pointless spending opportunities for anyone seeking treasures from other's trash. All kidding aside, it's how we furnished our house.
4.	Biltmore Estate: The huge house that Vanderbilt built in Asheville is about two hours away. We especially suggest this trip for anyone who wants to spend all their money building a big new house and who needs their head returned to its former size.
